Don Foster joined the team in December 2009, bringing over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has more than 20 years of experience as a financial products Wholesaler, and more than six years of experience as a Financial Advisor. As a mutual fund Wholesaler, Don regularly raised $100 million in annual new assets from the best financial advisors and broker dealers in the country. Don brings extensive financial industry, investment markets, and product and practice management experience to the consulting and broker dealer recruiting process.

Prior to joining AdvisorBridge, Don was Assistant Vice President and Regional Advisory Consultant at LPL Financial, the industry’s largest Independent broker dealer. In this role, Don helped advisors build fee-based investment business, raising almost $2 billion of new fee-based investment assets in his Mid-Atlantic territory. In addition, Don worked with advisors transitioning to LPL Financial, assisting them as they established their Independent and RIA advisory practices at LPL. Don’s experience includes extensive practice management consulting with successful financial advisors, helping advisors grow and add value to their businesses.

Before joining LPL Financial, Don spent 20 years as a senior mutual fund Wholesaler working for a number of the country’s largest asset management firms including Chase Manhattan, Salomon Brothers, Pioneer Investments, Kemper Funds and DWS Investments/Deutsche Asset Management.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, working with many of the industry’s top financial advisors, Don has a deep understanding of the needs of successful financial advisors interested in growing and adding value to their financial and investment management business.
